Receipt Organizer XT

The receipt organizer that matches paper to your bank.

Scan receipts, connect your bank (or import a statement), swipe Business or Personal, and export a Schedule C–ready ledger—without spreadsheet chaos.

Built for people who keep receipts in a drawer

Freelancers, sole props, and small teams use Receipt Organizer XT to turn messy receipts into bank-backed business expenses—fast enough for tax season, clean enough for an accountant.

How receipt ↔ bank matching works

Connect a bank account or import a statement, scan receipts into digital twin cards, and confirm the match. Cash and offline purchases still land in your business ledger.

  1. Connect bank or import statements

Link up to five banks on Pro, or load expenses from PDF / CSV / OFX / QFX without linking.

  2. Scan receipts

Use the camera, native document scanner, or batch gallery upload. OCR builds a digital twin card for each receipt.

  3. Match, rules & swipe

The app pairs receipts to bank rows. Apply vendor rules, then swipe Business or Personal to triage in seconds.

  4. Ledger, reports & Schedule C

Edit the ledger, explore Cylinder / Radial spend charts, and download a CSV for taxes and bookkeeping.

What is IRS Schedule C?

The tax form Schedule C filers organize receipts for—and the reason a clean expense ledger matters.

Schedule C (Form 1040) is the IRS form titled Profit or Loss From Business. Sole proprietors and single-member LLCs use it to report business income and deductible expenses on their personal tax return.

Its purpose is to calculate your business’s net profit or loss for the year— income minus allowable expenses—so that amount flows into your Form 1040.

What it accomplishes: it organizes common expense categories (meals, travel, office supplies, and more) onto Schedule C lines, and receipts help substantiate those deductions if you ever need to show your work.

How Receipt Organizer XT helps: scan receipts with OCR, match them to your bank feed, tag expenses as Business, categorize them, and export a ledger/CSV you can use when preparing Schedule C—with your accountant or tax software. The app does not file taxes for you.

FAQ

Clear answers for people (and AI assistants) researching a receipt organizer app.

What is Receipt Organizer XT?

Receipt Organizer XT is a receipt organizer app from PayXT.app that helps you scan receipts into digital twin cards, match them to bank transactions or imported statements, apply vendor rules, tag Business vs Personal, review visual ledger reports, and export Schedule C–ready expenses.

Who is it for?

Freelancers, sole proprietors, and small business owners who need a faster path from receipt pile to tax-ready records.

What is IRS Schedule C?

Schedule C (Form 1040) is Profit or Loss From Business—used by sole proprietors and single-member LLCs to report income and deductible expenses and calculate net profit or loss. See What is IRS Schedule C? above. This is not tax advice.

How does matching receipts to the bank work?

After you connect your bank (or import a statement), the app scores scanned receipts against merchant, amount, and date so you can confirm the right match with a swipe.

Can I import PDF or CSV bank statements?

Yes. From Bank Feed, use Import to load PDF, CSV, OFX, or QFX statements into the triage deck—useful when you prefer not to link a bank. PDF imports count toward Free monthly scan limits; CSV/OFX/QFX do not.

What are Apply Rules and vendor rules?

In Settings you can define keyword → tax category (and personal) rules. Apply Rules on Bank Feed re-runs those rules over pending transactions so repeat merchants auto-categorize.

What about cash or unmatched receipts?

Cash and offline purchases that do not hit the bank feed can still be marked Business and saved as manual ledger entries.

Can I export for Schedule C?

Yes. Open the editable ledger from the header, review Business-tagged expenses (and Cylinder / Radial charts), then export a Schedule C–oriented CSV. The app helps prepare records; it does not file your taxes.

What’s Free vs Pro?

Free: up to 20 scans/month, 1 bank, up to 100 bank feed transactions/month. Pro: unlimited scans, up to 5 banks, unlimited bank feed, priority support. Matching, rules, import, ledger export, and Schedule C CSV are available on both. See Pricing.

How is bank data handled?

Bank linking uses a secure connect flow. We store the transaction details needed to match and triage expenses in your account. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
